WELCHE'S Small Batch #4 Tourbé (46,6%)

This peated small batch is made from a selection of 5 barrels of Gevrey-Chambertin, Burgundy red, 1st fill. Distilled in July 2017, this whisky comes from a 35ppm malt.

It has a smoky, wild nose, with notes of leather, brown tobacco and toasted bread.

The palate is powerful, marked by rich peat, chiselled aromas of smoke, black pepper, followed by toasted wood, which finishes at length on a hint of minerality.
