EAU DE VIE (43%)
Folle Blanche is the oldest grape variety in Armagnac. It dominated the vineyard before its
destruction by phylloxera in 1878, it was then called "piquepoult". Rare because very sensitive, this white grape remains appreciated for the extreme finesse and the perfumed nose of its eaux-de-vie, elegance particularly valued in Blanche. At the Domaine de Laballe, this grape variety was replanted in 2017 and represents 0.89 ares of vines which are now in their 3rd year of organic conversion. The grapes are harvested around 10°, vinified in concrete vats and distilled in our wood-fired Armagnac column still.
Tasting notes
An intense and rich nose with notes of fresh fruit, pear, apple, then a bouquet of white flowers and some pastry notes. On the palate, it is an explosion of aromas evolving on floral notes with the roundness of alcohol in the background, with a clean, fresh and slightly peppery finish. To drink neat, on ice or in cocktails. 100% Folle Blanche, AOP Blanche d'Armagnac Conversion Bio. Limited quantity: 2019 harvest
