Landa's
Grandson of a distiller and chef, Mathieu Recoules created Landa's distillery in March 2019 in Lestrade Et Thouels, a small village between Millau and Albi, south of Rodez. Matthieu brews from an American yeast strain, distilling mainly corn, barley (raw and malted) and rye, cereals sourced from his neighbours, in the immediate vicinity of the distillery. The whiskies are produced by double distillation and aged in different types of barrels (new and small cask, cognac and port) before being blended. Two grain whiskies are available: Brousse (corn and raw barley, small new barrel and ex-cognac) since 2022 and Saugane (raw barley, small new barrel and port) since 2023.
