La Pèze

A family property for 14 generations, Domaine de La Pèze is located in Savignac in the heart of Rouergue and Aveyon. After a first part of their career in Cambodia, Charles and Barbara Cagnat decided to return to France, with a project in mind: to set up a whisky distillery in the château’s farmhouse, which commands 80 hectares of pastures, farmland and forests. After brewing (at La Hocq) and custom distilling (at Landa’s), Charles has been operating all operations on the site since February 2024. The distillery is equipped with a brewing room and a 1,000l S.O.F.A.C pot still. Moyssou (harvest in Occitan) was first marketed in July 2024. This single malt has aged in ex-cognac casks.
