BM Signature
The Rouget de Lisle brewery in Bletterans (Jura) became a distillery when it equipped itself with an Armagnac still with continuous distillation in 2012. But its owner Bruno Mangin had been distilling his brews since 2003 in distilleries in the surrounding area. Rouget de Lisle whiskey - named after the composer of La Marseillaise, born in Lons Le Saunier, a few kilometers from the brewery-distillery - took the name BM Signature in 2016. It is characterized by aging in spirit barrels and French wines, including many from Jura (Macvin, Vin Jaune or Vin de Paille). Rouget de Lisle distillery was dismantled in 2024, officially following the retirement of its founder. Don't worry, Bruno Mangin is still keeping an eye on things.
